Guidance Used For Issuing DEQ Drinking Water Health Advisories

DEQ drinking water health advisories are issued in accordance with Act 451 PA 1994, Part 201 Generic Cleanup Criteria, as listed in Operational Memorandum #1. Well users with sample analysis exceedences of levels found in the column labeled "Residential and Commercial I Drinking Water Criteria" of Rule 744 Table with the footnotes found in Rule 750 receive an advisory recommending that the water supply not be used for drinking and food preparation.
