Many of the contracts for NPS activities include the requirement that all products are provided to the DEQ in an electronic format. The purpose behind this requirement is two-fold: electronic versions are easy to store, and, most importantly, make it easier for other organizations to re-use the documents in their watershed. Our goal is to share materials developed in the NPS Program in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Shared documents will reduce or eliminate the development costs for other watershed organizations. In addition, messages that are repeated are remembered and understood better. Re-using NPS Pollution Control brochures, slogans, "tips", and other informational materials will repeat the message and re-enforce the concepts statewide.
Grant products can be provided via e-mail attachment, CD, or DVD. Larger files, such as watershed plans or road stream crossing inventories with photos, should be submitted only by CD or DVD.
