In 2007, the Nonpoint Source Program held two workshops to examine the watershed planning process focusing on US EPA's EPA's Nine Minimum Elements of Watershed-Based Plans. Presentations were given by staff from Tetra Tech (US EPA's contractor for developing guidance on the nine elements) describing how the nine elements fit with Michigan's watershed planning requirements under the Clean Michigan Initiative rules and exploring options for addressing each of the Nine Minimum Elements. The second workshop also included a presentation on available on-line resources from US EPA.
