Muskegon River Watershed

Watershed Summary

The Muskegon River Watershed (Clare, Lake, Mecosta, Missaukee, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newago, Osceola, Roscommon, and Wexford Counties) is a large watershed in central lower Michigan that drains into Lake Michigan. It was approved under the CMI administrative rules and was funded under section 319. The Muskegon River was originally threatened by development and a variety of nonpoint sources.
