Dr. Paul W. Seelbach holds a PhD in Fisheries Science from the University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources and Environment. He has worked 25 years as a fisheries research scientist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, developing understanding of the relationships between landscapes, hydrology, river habitats, and river fishes across the state. Statistical models of these relationships developed by Paul and University of Michigan colleagues are being used as the prototype for the groundwater withdrawal assessment tool. Paul is currently the statewide Research Director for MDNR, Fisheries Division.
