ercounty Drain Program
Statewide responsibility for supervising and administering broad discretionary duties for the planning, constructing and maintaining 1,100 drainage, irrigation and flood control public corporations. Facilities include an estimated 10,000 miles of channels, pipes, bridges, pumps, dams, dikes and appurtenant structures. Directed and managed the completion of over 200 water management projects involving public/private partnerships with county drain commissioners, soil conservation districts, state and federal agencies, professional consultants and private contractors. Projects ranged from $5,000 to $32 million

Water Use Reporting Program
Administer the Water Use Reporting program for agricultural withdrawals for quantities greater than 100,000 gallons per day as required by P.A. 148 of 2003. Approximately 1,200 water users reporting representing 317,203 acres.

Aquifer Protection and Dispute Resolution Program
Administer the program was initiated by P.A. 177 of 2003 to resolve complaints between residential property owner low capacity residential wells being affected by high capacity agricultural withdrawals. Complaint referral system from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)
