B.S & M.S. work in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University
Graduate work guided by Dr. Joe Ritchie, the Homer Nowlin Endowed Chair for Water Research in Agriculture.
Knowledge base includes groundwater hydrology, small watershed hydrology, biological material water content, agricultural climatology, crop modeling, geographic information systems, and remote sensing.
Work experiences include Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and air pollution control device design in private industry.
Responsibilities at Michigan Farm Bureau include:
Water Quality Management (TMDL review, Water Quality Education)
Water Quantity Management including Great Lakes Issues
Co-Chairmanship of the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program.
Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation regulation.
Air quality regulation.
Serve on over 22 different boards and committees representing over 46,000 Michigan farming families with respect to ecology.
