• Rule 97 - General Information
All projects involving the application of materials to waters of the state for water resource management purposes require a Rule 97 Certification of Approval from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ).

		Mosquito Control Projects

		Click here for: The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has regulatory jurisdiction over mosquito control strategies involving application of pesticides to surface waters of the state, facilities covered by National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, and the draining and filling of floodplains and waters of the state, including wetlands.
