Best Management Practices for Shooting Ranges

Lead becomes soluble and mobile when soil Ph is low or when lead particles are rinsed into nearby surface waters.  Humans, wildlife and the environment are protected when shooting ranges employ techniques such as controlling soil Ph and surface water run-off, conducting periodic lead recovery and recycling, and prohibiting shooting of lead over or into open waters.  These measures exemplify Best Management Practice(s).
