Commercial/Industrial/Institutional Recycling

Contact:  Environmental Assistance Center (800) 662-9278
Agency: Environmental Quality

Recycling is more profitable when a buyer can rely on a consistent, continual and large volume of material. Often, this means that recyclables being generated by large retailers, manufacturers, and institutions are more valuable than smaller, inconsistent quantities being collected by residential collection programs. Businesses interested in promoting their environmental practices can use recycling as a measure of how well they are doing.

Many of the following sites are neither endorsed nor supported by the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth (DELEG). This list is provided to help you find more information about recycling, composting and household hazardous waste management and provide you general information about what you can do to protect Michigan's natural resources and your environment.
