The following sites are neither endorsed or supported by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. This list is provided to help you find more information about recycling.
  • The Alliance for Environmental Technology(AET) is an international association of chemical manufacturers and forest products companies dedicated to improving the environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry.   AET supports the use of Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) technology, based on chlorine dioxide.
  • American Forest & Paper Association
  • Canadian Corrugated Case Association .This site contains information about corrugated cardboard in the environment.
  • Central Paper Stock Company. A Missouri-based paper company, this site contains information about paper recycling in general as well as tips for small businesses interested in starting a paper recycling program.
  • Canadian Pulp and Paper Association. Contains a number of resources for paper markets and recycling.
  • Corrugated Packaging Council . This site contains facts about the material as well as information about recycling corrugated packaging.
  • Global Recycle Fiber. A Strategic Business Analysis: The World Old Corrugated Container (OCC) Market
  • Molded Pulp Environmental Packaging Association  
  • Paper Calculator.org. This site, sponsored by the Environmental Defense Fund, can calculate the environmental benefit for buying recycled paper.  You must agree to cite the Environmental Defense Fund when using these figures.
  • Recycling and Composting Online . This site provides access to subscription and free information regarding paper recycling and scrap paper market prices.
  • State of the Paper Industry:  Monitoring the Indicators of Environmental Performance.  Environmental Paper Network, 2007. 
  • Technical Association of the Paper Industry (TAPPI)
  • U.S. EPA has a paper recycling Web site that provides a comprehensive overview of paper recycling in the United States. This Web site includes important information about recycling paper and how to start paper recycling programs. It highlights success stories and answers frequently asked questions. The site provides information on topics such as paper grades, paper quality and end-use markets and includes helpful links to additional resources with more detailed information.
