DEQ Hosting Public Hearing Regarding Marathon Oil Refinery

The Department of Environmental Quality is reminding those interested that there will be a public information meeting and hearing on Wednesday, April 30, regarding a proposed air permit for the Marathon Oil Refinery in Detroit. The meeting will take place at the Kemeny Center, 2260 South Fort Street in Detroit.

The public information meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., during which DEQ staff will answer any questions about the proposed air permit and provide information related to the project. Following the information meeting, the formal public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be an opportunity for the public to share their comments about the proposed permit and have them entered as part of the official record.
