The DEQ administers state and federal laws and regulations related to: air quality, surface water and groundwater quality, water supply, and waste management. In addition to providing expert technical and pollution prevention assistance to businesses and individuals, the DEQ annually performs approximately 30,000 site inspections. The guide provides an overview and access to additional resources related to environmental regulations, occupational safety regulations, and state building and plumbing codes. Manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, and regulators can all benefit from this guide, which steers the reader through the maze of state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulatory programs.
