We are in Business for a Healthier Michigan
• We are in Business for a Healthier MichiganThe Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) works to protect Michigan's air, land, and water, so we can live, work, and play in a healthier environment. The DEQ administers state and federal laws and regulations related to: air quality, surface water and groundwater quality, water supply, and waste management. In addition to providing expert technical and pollution prevention assistance to businesses and individuals, the DEQ annually performs approximately 30,000 site inspections. Working side by side with partners at the local, regional, and state levels, the DEQ safeguards our state's environment while supporting the economic growth and development that is crucial for Michigan. |
