Clean Michigan Initiative (CMI) Overview

The Clean Michigan Initiative (CMI) is a $675 million bond approved by Michigan voters on November 3, 1998 to improve and protect Michigan's water resources. The major programs are administered by the Departments of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Natural Resources (DNR), and Community Health (MDCH).  Click on any piece of the chart below for program-specific information, such as grants awarded and pending grant application packages.
