The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) offers all of these opportunities to students. Our positions are offered in a variety of settings: the field, the lab or office. Student interns' interests are matched with the DEQ staff need to provide a quality experience for both parties. You will work directly on environmental issues, with opportunities to gain academic credit or simply professional experience. Positions are offered statewide, with flexible hours to fit around any school schedule.
Student Intern Program:
The DEQ has opportunities for unpaid student interns to work in a variety of capacities throughout the DEQ. Some internships are arranged for academic credit; others are set up for the student to volunteer and gain experience. Student Assistants:
