Records of DecisionContact: David Kline (517) 373-8354 Agency: Environmental Quality
The Record of Decision (ROD) is a legal document that explains, and provides the justification for the remedial actions that will be taken to clean up a Superfund site. The ROD is based on information collected during the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS). A ROD also contains the history and description of the site, site characteristics, the contaminants present at the site and the media affected, community participation in the remedy selection, enforcement activities that have been taken at the site, and the scope and role of response actions.
The USEPA ROD database contains full-text Records of Decision (RODs), ROD Abstracts, ROD Amendments, and Explanations of Significant Differences (ESDs). You can access the RODs for NPL sites in Michigan by clicking here.
