2012 Hazardous Waste Manifests in the Waste Data System (WDS)

Please Note:  Due to unforeseen circumstances, the State of Michigan, Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ) hazardous waste manifest database is incomplete for calendar year 2012.   January through June has a majority of the manifests captured although not 100 percent; however the latter part of the 2012 year is inconsistent. 

Be aware that the DEQ Online Service of the Waste Data System (WDS) link routinely used to confirm or verify hazardous waste manifests for a facility may not provide accurate information for calendar year 2012.  If your company has submitted hazardous waste manifest copies, either generator or TSD versions, for 2012 the State of Michigan is confident that those manifests arrived but have not been entered by the contracted vendor into the system.   It is not necessary to re-submit the 2012 manifests that appear missing.

The user charge invoices mailed out in March 2013 may not reflect all the hazardous waste manifests for a company for 2012.  Please review the list of manifests that accompanied the invoice and amend the number of manifests as appropriate according to company records, multiply the number of manifests by $8 each and correct the invoice amount owed.
