new iconAquatic Invasive Species (AIS) of the Week

    Contact: Jennifer Johnson 517-284-5474

The Department of Environmental Quality Water Resource Division is beginning a new weekly series of brief informational sheets focusing on a variety of Aquatic and Wetland Invasive Species.  These sheets include: species specific characteristics (e.g. leaf type, stems, and flowers), ecological effects, and the status of where they are located in Michigan.  These weekly postings are meant to serve as a quick reference on the many different kinds of aquatic invasive species that are currently in Michigan or ones that threaten to invade our waters.  For detailed information on each species, follow the links provided on each sheet.  Download and share with interested individuals or organizations!
