DRAFT List of Assessment Units that are Not Supporting Designated Uses due to Nonpoint Source-Related Issues

The federal Clean Water Act requires Michigan to identify water bodies that are not attaining one or more designated uses. The "Water Quality and Pollution Control in Michigan 2010 Sections 303(d), 305(b), and 314 Integrated Report" includes the complete list of water bodies assessed in Michigan and their attainment status. The Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program has provided a sub-set of water bodies that are not attaining designated uses due primarily to NPS causes. This list is being provided to assist our stakeholders and is not Michigan's official list.

Please contact NPS Staff if you have questions about water bodies on or omitted from the draft list of water bodies that are not supporting designated uses due to NPS pollution or causes.
