The Department of Environmental Quality has several water quality monitoring programs that assist in keeping all of Michigan's water clean.


		Beach Water Monitoring

		Assessment of Michigan Waters

		Click here for: The Surface Water Assessment Section oversees the protection of the quality of surface waters throughout the State of Michigan.


		Inland Lakes Monitoring

		Click here for: The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), in partnership with the Michigan Lake and Stream Associations, Inc. (ML&SA), developed the Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP) as a cost-effective method for citizens to monitor water quality and to document changes in lake quality over time.
