DEQ DW Title P2 Bright Idea
The Bright Idea logo is a picture of a compact fluorescent light bulb. Bright Idea! demonstrates the positive environmental impact that our simple, everyday actions can have. Replacing incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) saves energy, money and protects the environment. An extremely small amount of mercury-essential for fluorescent light operation-is sealed in the CFL glass tubing. Ironically, in Michigan, a regular incandescent light bulb actually releases much more mercury into the environment than a CFL.
