• Pollution Prevention for Local Government
Pollution prevention (p2) can lessen the burden of costs associated with the collection, management and disposal many community wastes. Local governments can lead by example by increasing energy efficiency and reducing wastes and toxics, which may result in cost savings. Local governments, through pollution prevention, can also encourage businesses, institutions, and individual efforts to improve the environment, economy, public health and the community as a whole.
