The Second Edition of the "Regulatory Guidebook for Michigan's Lithographic Printing Industry" is a joint publication of the Michigan Departments of Environmental Quality and Consumer and Industry Services. Printers, suppliers and regulators can all benefit from this Guidebook which guides the reader through the maze of state and federal environmental, and safety and health regulatory programs. Although some reference is made to local building and fire codes, local requirements are not discussed in the guidebook in any detail. Be sure to contact your local government officials for information on applicable local requirements.
The guidebook is subdivided into three main sections: Environmental Regulations; Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSHA) and Building Code Standards. Each chapter within each section targets a specific regulatory program. This web site contains a complete version of the guidebook and allows you to download it by chapter.
We would like your feedback on this guidebook. If you have some comments or suggestions on how to improve it, send an email to Steve Holmi, Compliance Assistance Unit, Environmental Science and Services Division. His e-mail address is holmis@michigan.gov.
