MISTY

The Michigan Manpower Information and Services to Transitioning Youth (MISTY) program is a statewide, comprehensive employment, vocational and job training program that is funded and managed by Michigan Department of Human Services. The program provides funding for transitional/reintegration services for State wards (P.A. 150) i.e.:

  •  Employment testing and training 
  •  Career and Technical Education 
  •  Job placement and follow-up services 
  •  Assistance while in training 
  •  Cost/fee for training 
  •  Subsidized employment 
  •  Work related clothing and tools

 ELIGIBILITY

Misty services are only available to youth between the ages of fifteen and twenty (15-20), is a State ward-P.A. 150, who lacks marketable skills, and experiences difficulty in finding employment.
