Comments regarding pre-service training for foster and adoptive parents

DHS is currently working with local communities to reassess the service needs of foster and adoptive families. We will continue to provide services and training for prospective foster and adoptive parents, all licensed foster parents and approved adoptive parents. We encourage you to contact the agency you are licensed with; they may have information on training available in your area. Once our assessment is complete, we will communicate how to access these new training services. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition period and for continuing to open your hearts and homes to Michigan's abused and neglected children.
