Teen Parents

Self-sufficiency and independence is promoted among teen parents while repeat pregnancies and welfare dependency is discouraged. Comprehensive community services are directed toward strengthening the family unit and assisting teen parents in achieving economic and social independence for attaining employment. Direct linkages in the community provide other social supports to enhance self-sufficiency as well.
