Quarterly Statement: Changes in Name, Appearance and Information

The Quarterly Statement sent to the Family Independence Program (FIP) grantee will be changing. The new statement, called the Assigned Support Statement will look different and contain more information than the current statement.

The new Assigned Support Statement will be generated from the Michigan Child Support Enforcement System rather than the Department of Human Service Central Financials. Other changes to the statement include:

Changes in the appearance and content of the statement.
Changes in the printing and mailing of the statement.
Reporting changes.
The custodial party (CP) on the child support case to receive the statement instead of the FIP grantee.
Child Support staff instead of local office staff to answer customers' questions about the statement.
