Client Participation Payments

As of Oct. 1, 2011, the State of Michigan will stop sending $50 client participation payments (CPPs), or "rebates," to custodial parties who receive cash assistance.

Before Oct. 1, 2011, the custodial party may have received CPPs from the Michigan State Disbursement Unit in one of three ways:

  • A direct deposit into a checking or savings account;
  • Money added to a child support debit card; or
  • A check.
