Employment:
Responsible for the development, monitoring, and reporting of the Agency's efforts toward meeting the objectives of the Equal Opportunity Plan.
Major activities in this area are:
- Recruitment
- Review and approval of the appointment process for supervisory classifications at the PCEL 12 levels and above
- Providing annual statewide training on Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Programs (OEODP) and non-discriminatory selection strategies and non-discrimination labor
and employment laws

Interview Expectations:
- You have a right to expect to be treated with dignity and respect.
- You should be able to accept or decline an interview without prejudice to future applications.
- You have a right to expect that valid job related competencies will be established and used to select the best qualified candidate.
- You have a right to expect that the interview questions will be directly related to the job competencies, and that they will be asked in the same way of all
candidates. (Note: Follow-up questions for clarification or for more information regarding your responses may be asked as well.) Questions may also be asked regarding information you have given on your resume.
- You have a right to expect that information about your personal life will not be solicited.
- You have a right to request a position description, an organizational chart and the job competencies prior to the interview. This is part of your preparation activities for the
interview so that you may intelligently discuss how your education and experience relates to the job related competencies required to perform the duties of the position.
- You may request information obtained from the hiring process in which you were an applicant under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Such information would include: screening
criteria, job competencies, position description, recruitment efforts made, names of the interview panel members, scores related to the screening criteria and job competencies for yourself and that of the preferred candidate(s). To receive this information please submit a written request to the Office of Legal Affairs.
