The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Information Clearinghouse telephone number is 1-800-THE LOST (843-5678).

A child placing agency who assumes temporary physical custody of a surrendered newborn is required to immediately notify Michigan's Missing Children's Information Clearinghouse to determine if the child is a victim of abduction.
