Steve Yager, Director of Children's Services Administration
|Steve Yager is deputy director, Children's Services Administration, at the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS). Yager graduated from Cedarville University with a B.A. in psychology. He has more than 20 years of child welfare experience within DHS, beginning as a Children's Protective Services investigator and later serving as a Children's Services Administration program manager and team leader of the Peer Review Project in the mid- and late 1990s.
Mr. Yager is a strong advocate for the well-being and protection of children and has experience working collaboratively with community partners and other child welfare stakeholders. He has demonstrated this commitment as director of the Office of the Family Advocate, as county Director of Clinton and Gratiot counties and as the child welfare manager in Field Operations Administration at DHS.
