Portfolio Liaison

The Portfolio Liaison is an important role within the Project Management Resource Center (PMRC). The Portfolio Liaisons provide a single point-of-contact to their parent organization regarding activities happening within PMRC, are a part of the team for the different PMRC initiatives, provide valuable feedback on how to make these projects and initiatives work for their organization, and provide up-to-date information on projects and project management activities that affect the portfolio liaison and their organization.  A listing of the DIT Portfolio Liaisons is provided below.

Short-term:

·          Collect project information (i.e. name, description, project manager, target audience, benefits, cost – internal and external) for all IT new development, enhancement, and maintenance projects

·          Obtain information (i.e. server type, language) for all IT applications/systems and identify its relationship to the IT projects

·          Receive training on the project tracker tool to input and update project information

·          Receive training on the project management framework for DIT projects

·          Provide feedback on Niku project reports that will be helpful for agency project managers and DIT leadership

·          Assist with developing a DIT-wide project prioritization model (such as questions to be asked for each project, parameters to be evaluated)

·          Identify existing project/program offices currently in-place within the agencies

·          Discuss lessons learned, guidelines, best practices, processes, and procedures for consistent DIT-wide project/program offices

On-going:
