April 22, 2008

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement reconciling Michigan Consolidated Gas Company's 2006-2007 gas cost recovery (GCR) revenues and expenses.

The settlement found that the utility had a net under-recovery of $9,320,988.  Under the agreement, that amount will be rolled into the company's 2007-2008 GCR reconciliation.

The utility, the MPSC staff, Attorney General Michael A. Cox, The Residential Ratepayers Consortium, and the Michigan Community Action Agency Association participated in the settlement.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.

Case No. U-14717-R.
