(LANSING, MI) - The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance
Services (OFIS) today announced improvements in insurance company data
available on the web.
"The OFIS web site now has a searchable database with
information on any insurance company licensed to do business in Michigan,"
said OFIS Commissioner Frank M. Fitzgerald. "The web site continues
to offer a large amount of information about insurance companies in Michigan
- including complaint ratios, enforcement actions, and the Health Maintenance
Organization (HMO) Consumer Guide."
The searchable database allows you to look up insurance
companies by type of entity or by name. By selecting an entity, you can
view address, contact, historical name, and stockholder/mutual status
information. Link directly to the insurance company searchable database
