The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today issued an order seeking public comment by Jan. 26, 2007 on Detroit Edison's second revised renewable resources program (RRP) proposal submitted on Dec. 15.

Comments may be e-mailed to mpscefilecases@michigan.gov. Written comments should be mailed to the Executive Secretary, Michigan Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 30221, Lansing, MI 48909. All comments should reference Case No. U-14569. Comments received on this matter will become public information.

The MPSC in Nov. 2004 directed the utility to implement a renewable energy program.

Detroit Edison originally filed an application seeking approval of its proposed RRP on July 1, 2005. The MPSC subsequently issued an order seeking public comment on the utility's proposed program. After reviewing the comments on the proposal, the MPSC rejected the proposal, directing the utility to resubmit a modified proposal addressing the Commission's concerns.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
