The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today said it will hold a public hearing on the proposed rules dealing with consumer standards and billing practices for electric and natural gas residential service.
The MPSC received approval from the State Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules (SOAHR) on Feb. 14 to commence a rulemaking proceeding. The Commission received informal approvals from SOAHR and the Legislative Service Bureau on its draft version of the proposed rules on Aug. 7 and Sept. 11, respectively.
To hear comments on the proposed rules, the MPSC has scheduled a public hearing to be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2007 in its Lansing office, located at 6545 Mercantile Way.
