MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Authorizing Wisconsin Public Service Corporation to Increase Its Michigan Electric Rates

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Wisconsin Public Service Corporation to increase its Michigan jurisdictional electric retail base rates by $560,000 annually.

The MPSC also directed the utility to implement a new power supply cost recovery base rate for its Michigan customers of 38.79 mills per kilowatt-hour.

The average monthly bill of a typical urban residential will increase by about $4.40.  The average rural residential customer will see a monthly increase of about $4.63.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
