MPSC Approves Settlement Agreements Reconciling Two Utilities' 2008 Power Supply Costs

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved two settlement agreements reconciling the 2008 power supply costs of Northern States Power Company and Cloverland Electric Cooperative.

In Case No. U-15403-R, the settlement agreement found that Northern States Power Company had a total over-recovery of $241,236.  That amount will be rolled into the company's 2009 power supply cost recovery (PSCR) reconciliation.

The utility and the MPSC staff participated in the settlement agreement proceeding.

In Case No. U-15406-R, the settlement agreement found Cloverland Electric Cooperative had an under-recovery of $147,239, which it will roll into its 2009 PSCR reconciliation.

The utility and the MPSC staff participated in the settlement.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.
