Roger W. Little, Director of the Credit Union Division of the
Michigan Financial Institutions Bureau, recently completed graduate
banking school. Mr. Little attended graduate school after winning
a 1996-1998 advanced training scholarship from the Conference of
State Bank Supervisors.
Mr. Little's studies, completed over a three-year period, consisted
of three two-week resident sessions at the Graduate Banking School
of the South at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and several
extension problems.
In commenting upon Director Little's completion of graduate banking
school, FIB Commissioner Patrick M. McQueen said "Roger's success
in winning the CSBS scholarship and in completing the rigorous course
study reflects the professionalism of the people involved in supervising
Michigan financial institutions as well as the Bureau's commitment
to offering top-quality training opportunities to its employees."
Mr. Little is a 15-year Bureau employee. Prior to his appointment
as Credit Union Division Director, he was a regional supervisor
in the Bureau's Bank and Trust Division. He resides near Mount Pleasant.
The Financial Institutions Bureau is the primary regulator of
Michigan's state-chartered banks, credit unions, savings banks,
and over 4000 other licensed lenders.
