NOVEMBER 21, 2000 - The Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services (CIS) has summarily suspended the dental license of John Victor King, D.D.S. due to a drinking and driving conviction in May 1999, and a felony conviction in July 2000. King failed to report the convictions to the Department as required by the Public Health Code. King’s license to practice dentistry was summarily suspended pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional’s license upon conviction of a felony.
An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of King’s suspended dentist license.
