NOVEMBER 09, 1999 - The Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services (CIS) has summarily suspended the dentistry license of Nabil Berry due to a May 1999 felony conviction of Medicaid Fraud. Berry failed to report the conviction to the Department as required by the Public Health Code. Berry’s license was summarily suspended pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional’s license upon conviction of a felony, a two-year misdemeanor, or a misdemeanor involving controlled substances. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Berry’s suspended dentistry license.
