AUGUST 12, 1997 - A $6,000 state energy grant will let Flint area residents learn how to get the biggest bang for their heating and cooling bucks.
The funds were awarded to Mott Community College to offer energy efficiency seminars to home owners, renters and small businesses. In addition to the workshops, the college will distribute 1,000 directories showing local businesses that provide energy efficiency products andservices.
The program is available through the Energy Resources Division of the Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services.
