Sheridan Industries, Inc. to Receive State of Michigan Award for Outstanding Safety & Health Record

NOVEMBER 18, 2002 – Sheridan Industries, Inc., will receive the CET Gold Award from the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (CIS) on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 11:30 a.m., at 1013 Barnes Street, in Albion.

 

The CIS Bureau of Safety and Regulation (BSR) issues the Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division’s Gold Award to employers who have achieved an outstanding safety and health record of two years.

 

BSR Director Douglas J. Kalinowski will present the award to Ted Konkle, Vice President and General Manager; Mark Boyer, Plant Manager; and employee representatives Vicky Eagan and Curt Ramirez.

 

Sheridan Industries manufactures spanners, spacers, and axles for the material handling industry.  The company has recently obtained the QS 9000 designation for meeting quality requirements for manufacturing.
