Senate Bill 303 would amend Section 203 of the Legislative Council Act. It would require the Legislative Council to make the text of the Michigan Register available on the Internet beginning January 1, 2001. There would be no fee charged to the public for accessing this information online. The bill also states that the publishing of this information on the Internet would not alter in any way or relinquish any copyright or entitlement of the state to this information. In addition, the Legislative Council would have to make the information available on the Internet in the shortest amount of time possible.
