This bill would expand the definition of the ‘practice of optometry' to include the use of vision therapy, binocular vision therapy, and low vision techniques, counseling and rehabilitation therapy to correct, remedy, or relieve the effects of a defect of the human eye.

In addition, it would add the definition of ‘diagnostic pharmaceutical agent', meaning a topically administered prescription or non- prescription drug used for the purpose of diagnosing abnormal conditions in the human eye and their effects..
