Accounting Profession Bill Becomes First Public Act of 2007

(March 1, 2007) A bill delaying the peer review evaluation process for the accounting profession became the first bill signed by the Governor in 2007. The bill establishes a schedule for the peer reviews, which will begin in 2008 rather than 2007. Senate Bill 191 was supported by the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
