Court of Appeals Schedules Arguments In Energy Code Case

(May 17, 2007) The Michigan Court of Appeals has scheduled oral arguments on the case challenging the department's promulgation of a revised energy code. In Michigan Association of Home Builders v Department of Labor & Economic Growth, the Ingham County Circuit Court judge issued an injunction barring the department from proceeding. This occurred over two years ago. The department appealed to the Court of Appeals and requested expedited consideration. The Court denied the request for expedited consideration and has now scheduled oral arguments for June 5, 2007.
