| Board of Boiler Rules Responsibilities and Meeting Schedule

The Board of Boiler Rules was created by
1965 PA 290
. The responsibilities of the board are to prescribe uniform rules for boilers; provide for the licensing of boiler inspectors, installers, and repairers; set fees for licenses, permits, inspections, and certificates; and to provide penalties for violation of the act.
The 11 board members are appointed by the governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, to serve a term of 4 years. Upon expiration of a term, a member may continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
