The Michigan Occupational Employment Forecasts Through 2016 are published by the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth, Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives.  The Michigan statewide forecast and 18 regional forecasts can be useful for career planning.  Links to all 19 forecasts are below.  (To search for a regional forecast by county name, use Control + F and type in the county name.)

Directory of Visually Impaired Services  This online version of the Directory of Visually Impaired Services has more than 900 resources in 22 categories. The directory is published by The Visually Impaired Information Center, a non-profit organization established in 1995 and located in Livonia, Michigan. Print copies and additional formats of the directory can be ordered on their website.

Learning Opportunities For Your Child Through Alternate Assessments  This booklet from the U.S. Department of Education introduces parents to the "big ideas" contained in school improvement efforts under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and provides parents with the information they need to help ensure that their children can benefit from these efforts. The end of this booklet identifies suggested sources of additional information. The publication's web page includes an interactive table of contents as well as links to the complete document in Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
