The Michigan Commission for the Blind's Summer in the City program in Grand Rapids is designed for blind and visually impaired youth ages 14-18. The program focuses on personal adjustment and other pre-vocational skills for employment.

The Detroit Youth Summer Program is designed for blind and visually impaired youth ages 14-21. The program provides youth with vocational skills, personal adjustment skills, work experience, and a one-week computer camp.
